We hired Craig Cowles in 2020 to excavate for a new seawall on our lakefront property in Colchester. The seawall separates the lake water from the home. The previous one was failing and we were at risk for flooding., again. He had 8 feet deep of underground clay the entire length to deal with and had an extremely tight path on the beach to work with. He was professional and did an excellent job in poor working conditions He secured concrete for us and our seawall got built.
He returned in 2022 to help with lifting our home up out of flood zone.
Craig navigates challenging projects with professionalism and ease. He has always told us what he was doing and did what he said no matter how hard the task. We can count on his reliability and he works well with other contractors.

I met Craig Cowles through a mutual friend of ours back in 2015. The first project he did for me was putting waterlines up a private street for 10 homes. During this project, I realized how much he cared about the quality of his workmanship and the end result being correct. I have worked with hundreds of contractors, not one has come close to doing the quality and  workmanship that Craig does. Craig and his crew also built us a 500 foot seawall at Malletts Bay. This wall was made out of 15 to 20 ton boulders and topped with a 12’ redi-rock wall. This wall will last well beyond our generation and the generations to come. It was done right.
